Review :

In short, if you are a Black Clover fan, you will definitely love this movie! If not, you might be feeling unhappy about it.

The animation was beautiful, compared to what Black Clover fans are used to, it definitely exceeded my expectations. However, there were definitely discrepancies in the animation. For example, if the camera pans Asta in a scene, the quality drops completely.Other scenes would have great scenery.

The sound design was somewhat inconsistent. Things like rock smashing and Yuno throwing reminded me of One Piece’s sound effects, while others (like Julius’ or Asta’s fight scenes) sounded really good (in my opinion).

That’s why I gave such a low rating plot-wise simply because the movie isn’t canon; That doesn’t mean the story was bad, though.
Things like Conrad’s past were kept secret for most of the film. The beginning of the movie was a bit muddled and straight to the point in structure (I would say there was no overlap between the fight scenes since the whole movie is one big fight scene itself).We never really get an explanation of the antagonist’s backstory other than a brief synopsis of Conrad’s overall reasons for the fight (which I don’t think does his character justice).

Overall, the movie was fun. If you like animations, you will definitely enjoy the battle scenes. If you’re an action-oriented person and you don’t like the fact that this movie isn’t canon anyway, you might want to keep your expectations low.

I like the animation this time. The show lacked animation, maybe even worse.The animation did not freeze properly in fast sequences. Sometimes the show wasn’t fun to watch. But “Let the past be the past.” What we have now is important. This time around, the studio certainly spent a fortune to make it happen this way.The wizard fight was insane. The animation was independent. So the best fights were not lost this time.

Overall I recommend it. Although you’ve seen this story and plot in many anime series, it comes down to how much better it can be made.Watch and enjoy. You will surely experience funny moments. The movie is waiting for you.
